Terms of service
These are the terms on which we sell you food. They are binding, so they are written to be read — plainly, and in the order the questions actually come up.
Effective 10 September 2026. Applies to every order placed on Ready Rasoi.
The short version
- Ordering food is a final sale. We cannot take prepared food back, so please check your basket before paying — the full policy is on the cancellation and refunds page.
- Prices exclude GST, which is added once at 5% on the order total. What the checkout page shows is what is charged.
- An order is confirmed when we confirm it, not the moment you pay. If we cannot fulfil it, every rupee comes back.
- If we get it wrong, we make it right. The rest of this page is the detail around that.
1. Who you are contracting with
Ready Rasoi is a single-seller, direct-to-consumer food business — we cook, pack and deliver our own products. This is not a marketplace, and there is no third-party seller behind any listing.

2. What these terms cover
They apply whenever you browse this site, place an order, or use any part of the service. Placing an order confirms that you accept them, together with the privacy policy, the shipping and delivery policy and the cancellation and refund policy. Those pages are part of these terms rather than separate documents, and where one of them covers a subject in more detail, its wording governs.
You must be 18 or older to order. If you are ordering on behalf of somebody else — a household, an office — you confirm that you are entitled to.
3. Your account, and ordering as a guest
There are no passwords. Your email address is your identity: we send a six-digit code to it, and entering that code both verifies the address and signs you in. Ordering as a guest works the same way — the code still goes to your email, and the order is looked up afterwards by its number and that address.
Because of this, the email address on an order is always the verified one. The checkout form cannot send a receipt somewhere other than the inbox that received the code. Your phone number is the delivery contact — the rider calls it — and is not used to sign in.
Keep access to your email account secure. Anybody who can read your inbox can read a sign-in code, and we treat a correctly entered code as you.
4. Our products
Everything we sell is 100% vegetarian and egg-free, carries the green vegetarian mark, and is manufactured in an FSSAI-licensed facility. Ingredients, allergens, nutrition and net quantity are declared on every product page and on the pack itself.
Photographs show the prepared dish and are indicative — plating, garnish and crockery are not part of what is delivered. Where a product shows both a dry pack weight and a prepared weight, the difference is the water added during preparation, not a discrepancy.
Stock is held as batches, each with its own cook date and expiry date. We allocate the nearest-expiring usable batch first, and never allocate one that would reach you close to its date — the shipping page gives the exact rule.
5. Prices, GST and payment
All catalogue prices are exclusive of GST. A single 5% GST is calculated once on the order total and shown on its own line at checkout, so a pack listed at ₹99 costs ₹103.95. For a delivery inside Gujarat the tax is split into CGST and SGST at 2.5% each; for anywhere else it is IGST at 5%. You pay the same amount either way.
A struck-through figure beside a price is that product's maximum retail price. The lower figure is what you pay.
Payment is in advance. We do not offer cash on delivery. Payments are handled by a licensed payment gateway: card and banking credentials are entered on their systems and are never stored, processed or transmitted by us. A GST invoice is issued for every order and can be downloaded from your order page.
Prices, availability and offers can change at any time before an order is placed. The price that binds is the one shown on the checkout page you confirmed.
6. How an order is formed
Filling a basket and paying is an offer to buy, not yet a concluded contract. When you place the order we hold the specific packs for you for a short window and open a payment against them. The contract forms when we confirm the order after that payment succeeds, and the confirmation email is the record of it.
We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch if:
- The stock we reserved turns out to be unavailable or unfit to send.
- The delivery address is outside our service area, or cannot be reached.
- The order looks fraudulent, automated, or intended for resale.
- A price or product detail was listed in obvious error.
- We cannot verify the email address the order was placed with.
In every one of those cases, money already taken is refunded in full. Nothing in this clause lets us keep a payment for an order we did not deliver.
7. Delivery
We deliver to a defined list of pincodes, free of charge and with no minimum order — with our own fleet inside Gujarat, and by courier elsewhere in India. We do not promise a delivery date or time window. After an order is confirmed we call the phone number on it to arrange when the delivery will happen. Any indicative timing shown on the site is a target, not a guarantee, and is not a term of this contract.
The detail — where we deliver, what happens if nobody is home, and what to do if a pack looks wrong at the door — is on the shipping and delivery page.
8. Cancellation, returns and refunds
Prepared food is not taken back — opened or unopened — once an order has been delivered, and there is no exchange facility. An order can be cancelled before dispatch, but the payment is only returned when the reason sits with us: stock that proved unavailable, a delivery that failed, a quality problem, a duplicate charge, or a cancellation on our side. A change of mind is not refunded.
You agree to this at checkout with an explicit tick, and the version of the policy you were shown is recorded with your order — what binds both of us is the wording current on the day you ordered, not whatever the page says later. Read it in full on the cancellation and refund policy page before you order.
9. What we ask of you
- Give us a delivery address inside our service area, complete enough for a rider to find, and a phone number that will be answered.
- Be available to receive the order, or arrange for somebody who can. Prepared food cannot be left outside a door.
- Read the ingredient and allergen information on the product page before ordering if anyone eating has an allergy or a dietary restriction.
- Follow the storage and preparation instructions printed on each pack once the order has been delivered.
- Use the site as a customer — not for scraping, bulk automated ordering, resale, or anything that stops it working for other people.
10. Our content
The recipes, photography, product copy, brand marks and the site itself belong to Ready Rasoi. You are welcome to share a link, photograph a dish, or post about what you ate. You may not copy the catalogue, reuse the photography commercially, or present our content as somebody else's.
11. Where we rely on other companies
Payments run through a licensed payment gateway, transactional email through an email delivery provider, and the site itself on hosted infrastructure. Each receives only what it needs to do its job, and the privacy policy says exactly what. We remain responsible to you for the order regardless of which of them was involved.
12. Liability
We take responsibility for the food we sell and the service we run. Where we fail — an order that does not arrive, arrives spoiled, or is charged wrongly — you are made whole under the cancellation and refund policy.
Beyond that, our liability in connection with an order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss: a missed meal, a changed plan, time spent waiting.
Nothing here limits what cannot be limited. Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, and any liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or by unsafe food, are unaffected by anything on this page.
13. Things outside anybody's control
Floods, strikes, civil disruption, power or network failure, a public-health order, or a closed road can stop a delivery. Where that happens we will tell you, reschedule where we can, and refund the order where we cannot. What we will not do is hold your money for food we were never able to deliver.
14. Complaints and grievance redressal
Start with support — readyrasoifoods@gmail.com or +91 93760 95787. Most things are settled there the same day.
Anything unresolved goes to our grievance officer, appointed under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020: Shital Gabani, reachable at the same address. A complaint is acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within one month of being received.
15. Changes to these terms
We update this page as the business changes, and the effective date at the top moves with it. A change never applies retrospectively: the terms governing your order are the ones published when you placed it.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Surat, Gujarat have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. That does not take away any right you have to bring a consumer complaint where you live.
