Questions, answered
The things people ask before their first order, and the things they ask when something has gone sideways. If yours is not here, ask us — a person replies.
Ordering
Getting food into a basket and out of the kitchen.
Do I need an account to order?
No. You can order as a guest. Either way we send a six-digit code to your email address to confirm it is yours — that code is what replaces a password, and it is also what lets you look the order up later.
Why do you send a code to my email instead of my phone?
Because the email address is the account. The code verifies that address, and your order confirmation, invoice and updates all go to the same place. Your phone number is still on the order — it is what the rider calls to arrange the delivery — but it is not how you sign in.
The code has not arrived.
Check the spam folder first, and that the address was typed correctly. Codes are valid for 10 minutes, and you can request another after a short wait. If nothing arrives, call +91 93760 95787 rather than trying repeatedly — too many requests will rate-limit the address for a while.
How long is my basket held?
The basket itself keeps for about a month. What is time-limited is the stock: at the moment you place an order, the specific packs are reserved for 15 minutes while you pay. If the payment is not completed in that time the reservation is released and the packs go back on sale — nothing is charged, and you can simply order again.
Can I reorder something I had before?
Yes. Open the order in your account and use Reorder — it rebuilds the same basket, skipping anything no longer available, and you check out as normal.
Can I change or cancel an order after placing it?
Before it is dispatched, call us and we will usually manage it. Whether the money comes back is a separate question, answered by the cancellation and refund policy — in short, if the reason is ours you are refunded in full, and a change of mind is not refunded.
Delivery
Where we go, when we arrive, and what happens at the door.
Where do you deliver?
79 cities across India — 22 states and union territories, 1,720 pincodes. Surat and the rest of Gujarat go on our own vans; everywhere else travels by courier, which our packs are built for because they ship at room temperature. The shipping page lists the cities and has a checker that answers for your exact pincode.
What does delivery cost?
Nothing. Delivery is free on every order, everywhere we deliver, with no minimum order value.
Can I pick a delivery time?
No — we do not sell time slots, and we do not promise a window at checkout. Once your order is confirmed we call you to arrange the delivery. We would rather agree a time with you than commit to one we might miss.
How quickly will it arrive?
Within Surat, usually the same day. Elsewhere in Gujarat, usually the next day. Both are what normally happens rather than commitments — the call after your order is the real answer.
Can the rider leave it at the door?
No. Somebody has to receive prepared food — we do not leave it at a door, a gate or with a neighbour, whatever the delivery note says. It is a food safety rule rather than a policy we can flex.
Can I track the vehicle on a map?
Not at the moment. Your order page shows the state it is in — confirmed, packed, out for delivery, delivered — and the rider calls when they are close. We would rather say so than show a map that guesses.
Prices and payment
What the number at the bottom of the page is made of.
Why is the total higher than the prices I added up?
Because catalogue prices exclude GST, and 5% is added once to the order. A ₹99 pack costs ₹103.95. Delivery adds nothing. The checkout page itemises it before you pay.
Why does my bill show CGST and SGST instead of GST?
It is the same 5%, split because the delivery is inside Gujarat, where our kitchen is — 2.5% CGST plus 2.5% SGST. A delivery to another state would show a single 5% IGST line instead. Either way you pay the same amount.
What is the struck-through price?
The product's maximum retail price. The lower figure is what you pay.
Do you take cash on delivery?
Not yet — orders are prepaid. Cash on delivery is something we may add later, but nothing on the site accepts it today.
Is my card safe?
Your card and banking details are entered on the payment gateway's systems and are never stored, processed or transmitted by us. All we keep is the gateway's reference, the amount and whether it succeeded.
Do I get an invoice?
Yes — a GST invoice for every order, downloadable from the order page as a PDF as soon as the order is confirmed.
Do you have coupon codes?
No. There is no coupon field and no discount codes — the price on the product is the price, already below MRP.
The food
What is in it, how long it keeps, and how to prepare it.
Is everything vegetarian?
Yes — the entire menu is 100% vegetarian and egg-free, with the green vegetarian mark on every pack. There is no non-vegetarian production in our kitchen at all.
How do you keep food fresh without preservatives?
By taking the water out. The dish is cooked to its recipe, dried at low temperature under controlled conditions, then sealed in three-layer foil with an oxygen absorber. The shelf life comes from that process rather than from anything added to the food, and the pack needs no fridge. More on the food safety page.
I have an allergy. What should I check?
The allergen list on the product page, before ordering — it is published on every product. Our kitchen handles milk, wheat, soy, nuts and sesame across different recipes, so for a severe allergy please read the food safety page in full: we clean down between recipes but cannot promise a kitchen free of traces.
How long will a pack last?
Each pack carries a best-before date for its own batch. We will never send you one with less than five days left on the day you order, and usually far more.
How do I prepare it?
Most packs are about five minutes — hot water or a pan, exactly as printed on the pack. Preparation and storage instructions are also on every product page before you buy.
The weight on the pack is different from the weight on the site.
Usually that is dry weight against prepared weight — the pack is what you receive, the larger figure is what it becomes once water is added. If the two genuinely do not reconcile, tell us; we would rather fix a listing than argue with it.
Problems, accounts and data
When something has gone wrong, and what we hold about you.
Something arrived damaged or wrong.
If you spot it at the door, refuse the delivery — the rider takes it back and the refund is automatic. If you find it afterwards, tell us within 24 hours with your order number and a photo of the pack and its seal. You will not be asked to send food back.
When will my refund reach me?
We start it within 48 hours of confirming the issue, and it goes back to the method you paid with. Banks and gateways then typically take 5–7 business days to show it.
Can I return something I simply did not enjoy?
No — prepared food cannot be taken back, opened or not, and there is no exchange. That is the trade for selling food at this price, and it is set out in full on the cancellation and refund policy page. Tell us anyway if a dish disappointed you — it is how the menu improves.
How do I find a guest order again?
From the track order page, with your order number and the email address you ordered with.
What do you do with my data?
Only what an order needs, and we never sell it. The privacy policy lists exactly what is collected, who sees it and how long it is kept — and how to have it corrected or deleted.
Can you delete my account?
Yes. Write to readyrasoifoods@gmail.com from the address on the account and we will delete it, apart from invoice and batch-traceability records that tax and food-safety law require us to keep.
Still stuck? Call +91 93760 95787, write to readyrasoifoods@gmail.com or use the contact form. The policy pages — shipping, refunds, food safety, terms and privacy — carry the long-form version of everything above.
