Shipping & delivery
Where we deliver, what it costs, and how the food gets to you. We would rather tell you exactly how this works than promise a time we cannot keep.
Effective 10 September 2026. Applies to every order placed on Ready Rasoi.
The short version
- Delivery is free. Everywhere we deliver, on every order, with no minimum.
- We deliver across India — 79 cities in 22 states and union territories, 1,720 pincodes.
- We do not offer time slots. Once your order is confirmed we call you to arrange when it arrives.
- Somebody has to receive the order. Prepared food cannot be left at a door or with a neighbour.
Where we deliver
We deliver across India: 79 cities in 22 states and union territories, 1,720 pincodes. We cover the built-up area of each city rather than a single representative pincode, so an address in a suburb is as deliverable as one in the centre. Outlying village pincodes in the surrounding district are not included yet.
This is possible because of what the food is. Our packs are dehydrated and travel at room temperature, so there is no cold chain to break on a courier leg of several days — the same reason a pack keeps in your cupboard rather than your fridge.
The one answer that counts is the checker — it asks the same system that decides whether checkout will accept your address:
The states and union territories currently served — major cities in each:
- Gujarat
- Andhra Pradesh
- Assam
- Bihar
- Chandigarh
- Chhattisgarh
- Delhi
- Goa
- Haryana
- Jharkhand
- Karnataka
- Kerala
- Madhya Pradesh
- Maharashtra
- Odisha
- Punjab
- Rajasthan
- Tamil Nadu
- Telangana
- Uttar Pradesh
- Uttarakhand
- West Bengal
If your pincode is not covered, the checker will offer to take your email and tell you when it is. Those misses are counted, and they are how we decide where to open next.
What delivery costs
Nothing. There is no delivery fee, no minimum order value, and no surcharge for a distant pincode. The price you see at checkout is the goods plus 5% GST, and that is the whole bill.
If that ever changes, the fee will be shown on the cart and checkout pages before you pay — never added afterwards.
When it arrives
We do not sell delivery slots and we do not promise a delivery window. There is no time picker at checkout, because a window we cannot reliably hit is worse than no window at all.
What happens instead: as soon as your order is confirmed, we call the phone number on it to agree a time that suits you. That call is the delivery promise — not anything on this website.
For a rough sense of the shape of it: within Surat, where our kitchen is, orders usually go out the same day on our own vans. Elsewhere in Gujarat it is typically the next day. Everywhere else in India travels by courier and usually takes a few days. All three are what normally happens, not commitments — traffic, weather, kitchen load and the courier's own network all move them.
How your order is packed
Every pack is sealed in our kitchen and carries its batch number, cook date and best-before date. Nothing is decanted, repacked or opened between the kitchen and your door.
Stock is allocated first-expiry-first, so the nearest-usable batch goes out before a fresher one — that is how a food business avoids waste. There is a floor on it: we will not allocate a pack unless it has more than five days of shelf life left, counted from the day you order. If the only stock we have is closer to its date than that, the item shows as unavailable rather than being sent to you.
Everything currently on the menu is shelf-stable and travels at room temperature — the dehydration and the sealed foil pack are what make that safe, so there is no cold chain to break on the way to you.
At the door
The rider calls the number on the order when they arrive. Somebody over 18 needs to take the delivery — we do not leave prepared food outside a door, at a gate, or with a neighbour, whatever the instructions on the order say. That is a food safety rule and it is not negotiable.
Check the packs before the rider leaves. If anything looks damaged, leaking, swollen or tampered with, refuse it there and then — the rider takes it back and the refund is automatic, with nothing for you to claim.
If a delivery cannot be completed
If nobody is available, the phone goes unanswered, or the address turns out to be wrong or unreachable, the rider will try to reach you and then return the order to the kitchen. We will call to arrange another attempt.
- A delivery that failed on our side — a rider who did not arrive, an address inside our area we could not reach — is refunded in full.
- Prepared food that has travelled and come back cannot go out again to anybody, whatever the reason it came back. That is why we would rather agree a time on the phone first than attempt a delivery and hope.
- If we cannot reach you across repeated attempts, we will call and email before doing anything with the order.
The whole refund position, including the cases where you are always refunded, is on the cancellation and refund policy page.
Tracking an order
Your order page shows its current state — confirmed, packed, out for delivery, delivered — and the GST invoice becomes downloadable there once the order is confirmed. If you ordered as a guest, open it with your order number and the email address you ordered with, from the track order page.
We do not offer live map tracking of the vehicle. The rider's call is the reliable signal, and we would rather not pretend otherwise.
Changing an address after ordering
Call +91 93760 95787 as soon as you can. Before the order is packed we can usually change the address, as long as the new pincode is one we serve. Once it is out with a rider it cannot be redirected, and an address outside our footprint cannot be accepted at all.
Anything on this page unclear, or something gone wrong with an order? Call +91 93760 95787, write to readyrasoifoods@gmail.com or use the contact form. A person reads it.
